Founder Story: How Quincy Started

How did we get here?

I learned to golf as a kid, but I started taking it seriously as a teenager. Around that same time, I worked at a golf retailer (shoutout Golf Town). I spent a lot of time around the gear and the clothing, and I noticed pretty quickly that most of the women’s pieces didn’t feel like something I actually wanted to wear. A lot of it felt outdated, overly sporty, or just… ugly.

I remember thinking back then, why are the mens clothes so much better than the womens? That was almost 15 years ago.

Golf has always been something I come back to. I’ve made some of my closest friends through the game, and I love being outside for hours with nothing to worry about except my next shot.

But even now, all these years later, it’s still surprisingly hard to find golf wear for women that fits well and looks good. $100 for a boxy shaped, 100% polyester shirt? No thanks.

So Quincy started with a simple idea: make pieces that feel good to wear on the course and everywhere else.

And the name? Quincy was my first dog.
If you know me, you know I love two things: golf and dogs.

Thank you for being a part of the journey.

xoxo, Jess
