Founder Story: College Golf and Questionable Fits

I grew up around golf. My family are avid players, so I was introduced at a young age, but didn’t start to take it seriously until high school (where I met Jess!). That’s when I fell in love with the sport, but not the outfits.

Being tall only made it harder to find pieces that actually fit the way they should. Hemlines felt off, proportions were awkward, and nothing quite looked or felt right. Looking back, some of the outfits from those days are comedy gold and definite fashion crimes. I’ll never forget the disastrous capris my coach picked for our university uniform. (They’re seared into my memory forever and were never worn.) And the market’s love affair with loud paisleys and neon was not my vibe. I even borrowed men’s pieces because they felt fresher. Confession: I still reach for men’s outerwear when nothing for women fits the bill.

Then and now, I lean more toward athletic clothing over traditional golf pieces. That’s exactly why we started Quincy Golf. We are creating a women’s golf line for the modern golfer. Clean cuts, considered fabrics, and designs that help you play your best and feel like yourself doing it. For women who take the game seriously and still have fun with it.
